For most holiday houses and apartments the high season is from June to end August, plus Christmas, New Year and Easter. However, this differs per house so to be sure always first check by email. Go back to the questions When are the swimming pools in Umbria opened? Usually the pools are open from beginning of June to end of September. Upon request (and paying extra) the pools can be opened before or kept open after this period. However, in that case the water is likely to be very cold. Usually it is warm from June to end of September (in July and August temperatures can be as warm as around 30 degrees Celcius during the day) and in the evenings one can usually dine outside. From October to April you might need the heating inside on and in mid winter it can even freeze outside. April and May are the real months of spring with high possibility of beautiful warm days and also regularly some rain. Go back to the questions What time does it get dark in each season? In Umbria in June the days are longest and it gets dark around nine thirty or ten o'clock. In December we have the shortest days and it gets dark around four thirty. Most owners of the holiday houses and apartments do not charge anything extra, apart from heating in winter. This means that included in the prices are (unless otherwise stated): bed linen and towels for use indoor, electricty, gas (apart from gas for heating) and final cleaning. Go back to the questions Can the prices indicated on the website still change? The prices can change until you have made the reservation. The prices indicated on this website are only to give an idea. There can be last minute promotions and we can give discount on long stays. It is also possible that there is a mistake in the prices, this can affect the prices both ways (up and down). Go back to the questions What is included in the prices? Included in the prices are (unless stated otherwise): bed linen, towels for indoor use, electricity, gas (apart from gas used for heating) and final cleaning. Go back to the questions How can we book a holiday house or apartment? You can book by sending an email indicating the period you would like to book and the name of the holiday house or apartment. I will send you, as soon as possible, a reply or give you a ring to answer any possible questions you might have. I then wait for your email with a confirmation and you can pay a part of the rental. Once I receive this, the house or apartment is booked for you. Go back to the questions How much do we pay upon booking a holiday house or apartment? Usually you pay 20 to 40% of the rental for booking a holiday house or apartment. This can change from house to house. Go back to the questions How do we pay for a holiday house or apartment? You can usually pay by transferring the money to the bank account of the owners in Italy or by sending a euro-cheque. In few cases you can pay by Credit Card, but most owners do not have these facilities. Go back to the questions Can we pay by Credit Card? Where the owners can accept Credit Card payments, you are welcome to pay by Credit Card. Information about this will be given when booking a specific holiday house or apartment. Go back to the questions How do we know when a house or apartment has been booked for us? A house or apartment has een booked the moment the agreed down payment has been received. The moment the owners confirm receipt with me, I write you an email to confirm all. Go back to the questions Can we also book a house or apartment for less than a week? In some cases it is possible to rent for less than a week, especially in the low season. Send me an email to find out whether this is possible for the holiday house of your interest. Go back to the questions Do we get a discount if we stay more than two weeks? In most cases, apart from a stay during July and August, you will get a discount for a stay of over two weeks. The owners will decide in each case how much discount to give. Go back to the questions Do you have special prices for staying a winter in Umbria? The owners can establish upon request, a price for a winter stay or also a sping time stay. Special prices are possible for all periods apart from high season. The owners make a decision based on the number of people, the length of stay and the period you would want to stay.
