2011:
We stayed in Agri Uliveto in apartment 2. We liked the terrace very much with a beautiful view on the surroudings and Perugia. We enjoyed the quiet nature, the olive trees, the swimming pool and the hospitality of Paolo, the owner. Everyday we heard the sound of the golden oriole and sometimes we saw the hoopoe. We saw beautiful butterflies and strange insects on the lavendel flowers,
We visited the medieval towns of Umbria and liked the visit to the Montelabate abbey and the excursion in Perugia. It was, thanks to Villa In Umbria, a marvellous holiday.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously in this lovely place. Apartment 2 was well appointed and has its own private terrace.
The pool looked very attractive, but we visitid in April and the water temperature was 11 degrees.
We were met by the hospitable owners who informed us about restaurants, where to rent bicycles etc.. In short, relaxed, nice and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Next time we would only wish for warmer weather.
Small remark: the studio really is a lot smaller. Since the weather was not great, we were very happy with apartment 2.
Thanks for all your help. Best wishes, Floortje.
Dear Ladies,
thanks for the email. We have had a very good holiday and the apartment was really excellent, moreover also the owner was very helpful. Upon arrival the heating/warm water was not working. The owner had it replaced immediately. We got a nice bottle of wine and olive oil from the farm, plus a lovely cake. A better reception hardly is possible.
De apartment is situated very well, on top of a steep (first gear!) hill, however with beautiful views and also ideally placed with respect to visiting the beautiful Umbrian towns and cities.
With best wishes, W. L. from Zwolle (Netherlands)

Dear Saskia and Willemijn,
We would like to express our satisfaction. Our stay at Agri Uliveto in Valfabbrica was wonderful. The owner (Paolo and his wife) were very nice and hospitable. We stayed in the 4 persons accommodation and enjoyed it very much: the panoramic view, the silence, nature… awesome!! Also the nearness of so much art, beauty and history gave us the impression that we were in a complete other (renaissance) world.
Thank you once again for your advice and suggestions: we benefitted very much from it!
Best wishes, Fam. V.
Hello Saskia and Willemijn,
We have returned to our home country but would like to let you know that we had a great time in Umbria! We stayed at Agri Uliveto, apartment 1. Not really an apartment more like a house :-) We were treated to a very warm reception by Paolo and his family and immediately felt at home. From the apartment one can enjoy fantastic views of the Umbrian landscape. I urge my fellow travellers to adhere Paolo's advice regarding daytrips and restaurants.
Thanks for guiding us to this delightful adress.
Regards, M. and P.
Hello Saskia and Willemijn,
We had a great time! Especially Agri Uliveto proved to be a unique place. It is a true paradise in the midst of nature. Very tranquil and very hospitable owners. We really felt at home.
All in all thanks to you we have had a great holiday.
Hope to see you next year.
Regards, S. en L., M. en J.
Dear Saskia and Willemijn,
We stayed at Agri Uliveto from the 24th till the 31st of July and had a great time. The apartment was tidy (the stove really sports some exciting power), Paolo and his family are very friendly and we were bid a warm welcome. Above all the apartment is situated conveniently close to Perugia and Assisi in a superb location. It felt very fairylike to move among the chickens, sheep, rabbits and olive trees :-)
From the top of the hill you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets, very well suited for honeymoon :-)
We'd love to come back someday.
Kind regards, C.N.

Dear Saskia & Willemijn,
Just a bit of feedback: we really had a fantastic time in Umbria!
Good locations and houses. Especially Agri Uliveto was very enjoyabel.
Thank you for your help making the reservations and helping us out when our flight was cancelled and we had to arrive on another day.
Regards, Carolien and Mick
Hello Saskia and Willemijn,
We just returned from our stay at Agri Uliveto where we enjoyed ourselves very much. Paolo's hospitality is superb. We have been to Italy often but we never experienced anything like this before. Anything he could miss, he brought to us. A very warm family with a great heart for their guests.
I'd like to thank you for the clear information and directions you sent us. We had a very good holiday in Umbria.
Grazie mille, Nathalie & Ard
Hello Saskia and Willemijn
We jkust wanted to let you know we had a very good holiday week at Agri Uliveto with Paolo and his family.
It was all great, the hospitality, the small but stylish little studio, the wonderful location, the refreshing pool with relaxing garden, the beautiful Umbrian countryside and amazing sights to see. I could keep on &ldots;
With pain in our hearts we left after one week knowing we will retrun some day.
Thank you for making this possible, it is an address we will keep in mind.
Kind regards, Joop and Coby
We were satisfied with our apartment at Agri Uliveto. It was just the way you describe on the webpage. The owners are friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful place for people who are looking for peace and quiet. The bedroom stayed cool, the bathroom was good. We had a lovely terrace and a spacious pool.
Negative remark: we didn't find it particularly clean. We discovered cobwebbs, insects and it all smelled a bit damp. We didn't have the impression the house had been cleaned recently. A pity, because it'll stop us from coming back.
It is a pity there are no fly screens.
But apart from that: all positive!!!

Dear Saskia and Willemijn
Our reaction to our stay at the Agri Uliveto can be very short: top class !!!
The hospitality of the owners, the house, the surroundings, the peace and quiet, the views never to forget, it is a recommendation for many people!
Kind regards, Elly and Sjef
Hello Saskia and Willemijn,
We very much enjoyed our holiday in Italy. Though it was expremely warm the weeks we were there.
We had a good time both at Agri Uliveto and at Agriturismo Umbria. Both houses are in beautiful locations, were clean and sufficiently furnished. Also the pools were ok.
We would have liked more contact with the owners, though. Even just to get some more information abot the area or events. But in both cases the owners were quite reserved.
At Agri Uliveto we couldn't use the electric outlets, even our universal plug didn't fit.
Apart from that al was just fine.
Best regards and maybe until next time, Marianne
Hello Saskia and Willemijn,
We have very fond memories of our stay at the Agri Uliveto. Our little house, the apartment 2, was stylishly furnished and completely satisfied our needs. It really is the way the fotos show. The premises are taken care of with a lot of precision, there are pots with flowering plants everywhere, olive trees, oleandre, kiwi and all kinds of plants and trees. We enjoyed the surroundings. In the evenings it was extremely quiet and the stars shone every night. The hospitality of Paolo and Mariella is heart warming: fresh egges, home made pizza and enjoyable conversations. The contact with other guests was good. We regularly met in the afternoon at the pool and we enjoed conversing in French with them. Perugia and Assisi are really nearby. Also worthwhile a visit is Spello, Orvieto, Montefalco and Spoleto. We even visited the west side of Tuscany and Lake Trasimeno.
In short, we warmly recommend a stay at Paolo's and Mariella's home and do intent to return ourselves.
With kind regards, Saskia
From before 2009:
Ladies,
Two months have passed since we stayed in Agri Uliveto, appartment Woods, but the memories are still fond.
The apartment/house was above expectations, which was mainly caused by the fact that neither your site or the site of the owner was completely clear in what the house actually encompasses. I had frequently contacted Willemijn by mail and phone which gave me enough confidence to book it. So we didn't regret for one second.
In brief:
- very roomy house with large living, bedroom, kitchen
- charming and spacious bathroom
- 3 terraces of wich one is big, shaded and provided with a big dining table.
- very well furnished, more residence than holiday home
- wel stocked with pots, pans, oven, dishwasser, tableware and cutlery
- tranquil
- nice panorama, especially at nights with the lights of Perugia looming in the distance
- extremely kind and helpful owner, with a better command of English than our Italian. Communication is thus easy.
- great surroundings, garden to take a stroll
- big swimming pool
- shops nearby
The house is especially recommended to people who enjoy tranquility and comfort. Small children have ample room to play though the pool may not be suited to the smallest. We had brought an inflatable boat as a pool wich worked out excellent. After 2 weeks they dared to venture in the deep with floats but one has to stay attentive.
We certainly think we will return to this house but don't know when.
Kind regards, Levert Jan
Dear Willemijn and Saskia,
We had a wonderful time in Umbria and one of the reasons was the: the great location, the wonderful appartment and the good-natured family! We would be delighted if you could pass on this reaction to them. We didn't lack anything!. We will of-course mail the family ourselves and will add a few pictures but that will always take us some time, we're not very quick on that front.
Obviously also thanks to you for arranging our holiday in Umbria and if we are to visit Umbria again we'll make sure not to forget this address!!!! We have already passed it on to our family and friends who had asked if we had a nice holiday. So who knows, it might lead to some bookings.
Again thank you very much for all your efforts.
Warm regards, Gerritjan and Addy
Dear Saskia and Willemijn,
Our sojourn with Paolo (Agri Uliveto) exceeded our expectations and was the loveliest and most agreeable of our whole trip.
Which is quite telltaling as we have lodged at other magical places in Umbria and Tuscany.
But the personal reception, the cake upon our arrival and the feeling to be very welcome made all the difference.
Wholeheartedly recommended for people who relish quietness, nature and hospitality.
Which will result in calling upon your website and network for a subsequent trip.
Kind regards, Hilde
We returned from Agri Uliveto yesterday and wanted to let you know that we were very happy with the place.
Thank you for answering all my questions and helping me plan it all. If any of our friends do plan to coming there I will give them your address.
We were so happy to meet Paolo and his delightful family. They were warm and more than generous in welcoming us and also sharing some delicious food. It made all the difference - his gracious and generous attitude. Please do THANK him on our behalf.
Bye, Sincerely, Shamim
