Agriturismo Pietralunga is a holiday farm in Pietralunga, on the border between Umbria and The Marche.
The farm has 2 apartments and the owners live here too. There is wifi (free of charge). The farm is farming crops and has animals. There is a fishing lake on the grounds as well.
Agriturismo Pietralunga is at walking distance from the lovely town of Pietralunga (800 meters). Yet there is privacy and it is tranquil. Pietralunga is an ideal holiday spot for hiking. The many paths are well documented and maps are available. Pietralunga has many restaurants, a few bars, a bakery and supermarket.
The pool is very well equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. The pool is divided into two areas, one for children of 4 by 4 meters and 0,60 meters deep. The other (connected) is 8 by 8 meters and 1,50 meters deep. The pool is fenced, but the studio is within this fence and has direct access to the pool. The owners also use the pool.
Wifi internet is available outside in the pool area. A washing machine is available for general use. The farm has a big barbecue and also a pizza oven. There is a very small children's play area. There are 5 mountain bikes available for guests to use. There is a small lake (see pictures). Guests can fish here for free. The lake is about 1 km from the agriturismo, a nice stroll.
Distances are: Pietralunga: 800 m Umbertide: 20 km Citta di Castello 20 km Gubbio 20 km Fano (adriatic coast): 1 hour drive Urbino: 1 hour drive Arezzo: 50 minutes drive.
Apartment one is on the ground floor of the main house. There are two entrances, one on each side of the house. The owners live on the first floor and have the entrance on top of the outside stairs and a terrace at the far side of the house. Guests therefore have privacy when sitting outside on both the terraces belonging to the apartment. One terrace is covered by vines. There is a kitchen with 4 pit gas cooker, oven, big fridge with separate freezer, three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin), two bathrooms (each with shower) and a huge living area (with TV and radio/CD player).
Apartment two is a small independent house, studio like. It has a kitchen with 4 pit cooker and small under the counter fridge and oven. There is a double bed and a small dining table. The bathroom has a shower. There is enough space for an extra single bed, but this is available upon request.
Prices are all inclusive, in euro per week from Saturday to Saturday (final cleaning, bed linen, towels and utilities). Guests bring their own towels for the pool. Out of high season and upon specific request arrival and departure day can be different.
Small pets are welcome on this farm (Eur 30 extra).

Umbria was wonderful!
The apartments were stylishly furnished, wonderful surroundings, good and economic restaurant in Pietralunga, cool nights, no busy main roads in the area, fresh figs, cute donkeys and goats, walking tracks all over, ideal pool for a msall scale agriturismo like this, cosy atmosfere around the farm, every evening sitting outside until late with a good glass of Montefalco wine &ldots;. Etc etc. As you can see, we would have anjoyed a much longer stay as well.
A few points of attention:
-the bed in the small cottage near the pool is not comfortable. The beds in the main house are good, though.
-the kitchens aren't meant to cook in every day (no cooker hood, no dishwasher, no micro wave). If you are with small children this is a bit uncomfortable since you do not go out to eat that much.
These negative remarks didn't influence our holiday, though. We had a very good time.

Comment Villa in Umbria: the small cottage has a new bed. There has been installed a new kitchen in the apartment 1 without dishwasher but microwave can be available upon request.
The owners ask a downpayment of 30% of the rental. The balance should be paid one month prior to arrival. The security deposit is 150 euro.
From 2013, in Umbria the tourism tax has been introduced. Each town can decide independently whether to apply this tax. It is important to keep in mind that the prices on our website do NOT include the tourism tax. Where we received confirmation from house owners that they have to ask for this tax, it is written underneath the price table.
Villa in Umbria is an intermediary and as such rents out holiday homes and apartments on behalf of their owners. We do not receive any money from clients. When you book we will be sending an agreement in which you will find the bank details of the owners.
We know each vacation rental personally and also the owners of all the holiday rentals we have in our portfolio.
Villa in Umbria has been operating as an intermediary since January 2005 and you can check our Italian VAT number (Partita IVA) to verify our existence. Our partita IVA is IT02781540543.
The farm has three apartments.Two are always rented together (apartment one) and the other is an elegant detached studio.
