Il Monastero Cortona

Apartment 1 (sleeps 4) is on the right side of the monastery. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. One enters the apartment from the garden with a private pergola with outdoor furniture (a table and 4 chairs). The kitchen corner is on the left, with 4 pit gas cooker and oven and a normal fridge. The dining table is in the centre and at the end the sitting area with one sofa. There is a bathroom with bath. The open wooden staircase takes one up to the first floor with the two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and one bathroom with shower. This apartment has air conditioning, but does not have heating.

  

  

  

Apartment 2 (sleeps 4 + 1) is on the left side of the monastery. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom and the apartment is suitable for wheelchair users. The bathroom has a shower. Entering the apartment one finds the kitchen corner on the left (with 4 pit gas cooker and oven and a normal fridge). There is a dining table and the sitting corner has one sofa. The bedrooms are also on the ground floor, one has a double bed and the other two single beds. There is air conditioning and also heating.

  

  

The apartments have a hair dryer and a TV with DVD player and small radio. There is a toaster in the kitchen.
Each apartment has its own barbecue.

From 2011:

As such the apartment was well taken care of. The only problem was the terrace in front. It has grass and keeps wet and cold long into the morning, it is also not comfortable because it is soft. The owners should make tiles here.

Also some basic kitchen items were missing, like a good knife and cutting board, grater and strainer. We bought these and left them for next guests. The frying pan was also very small, but apart from that OK to use. Something the owners can not really help is the road being close to the bedroom window and people drive very fast, even in the middle of the night.

First of all our wholehearted compliments for the way in which you communicate with your clients.

Every email received a quick and very friendly answer.

This already gave us a very good feeling before starting the holiday.

We do have a few issues to improve the apartment:

1. In the apartment we missed a good frying pan and knives to cut tougher things with. We also did not find a cutting board. The kitchen inventory needs to be checked.

2. during our stay there had been strong rains and unfortunately the water did not leave our terrace for the remainder of our stay. We kept having a marshy terrace inviting flies the moment the weather improved.

Apart from this it is a very nice place with lots of space to enjoy the sun, play football and barbecue.
