Montone rental 'Casa' (4 + 2) is the apartment attached to the majestic property of the owners. The rental has a private entrance at the side of the house and a large terrace at the back. There is a door in one of the bedrooms that leads to this terrace. It can also be reached from the outside. The spacious and elegant living room with vaulted ceilings has a fire place and two sofa couches in front. There is a long dining table with 8 chairs. The kitchen is very small and has a 4 pit gas cooker, oven, dishwasher and big fridge with freezer. There are two bedrooms (a double and a triple) and a bathroom with shower. This apartment is also suitable for wheelchair users.
Montone rental 'Torre Alto' (6 + 2) is situated above the swimming pool and tennis court. In front of the ground floor a nicely overgrown pergola provides shade on the outside table and chairs. The spacious and nicely furnished living room has a fire place and two sofa couches in front. There is a dining table in the kitchen area. The kitchen is big and has a 4 pit gas cooker, oven, dishwasher, lots of working space and big fridge with freezer. There are three bedrooms (a double and a twin on the first floor, sharing a bathroom with shower and a huge bedroom with double beds and two single beds and another bathroom with shower on the second floor).
Torre Alto is situated next to Torre Basso.
Montone rental 'Torre Basso' (2 + 2) has an overgrown pergola in front of the entrance as well. The spacious and elegantly furnished living room has a fire place and two sofa couches in front. There is a dining table in the kitchen area. The kitchen is big and has a 4 pit gas cooker, oven, lots of working space and big fridge with freezer. There is one bedroom on the ground floor with a bathroom with shower.
Montone rental 'Casetta' (2 + 2) is completely detached. It is situated further down in the garden, closer to the pool and tennis court. The spacious and nicely furnished living room has a fire place and two sofa couches in front. There is a dining table in the kitchen area. The kitchen is big and has a 4 pit gas cooker, oven, lots of working space and big fridge with freezer. There is one bedroom with a bathroom with shower.
Montone rental 'Dietro' (4) is situated at the back of the owner's property. It has a totally private garden. The rental has a good kitchen, but no sitting area. The kitchen is big and has a 4 pit gas cooker, oven, lots of working space and big fridge with freezer. There is a big dining table. Two bedrooms share the bathroom with shower. One bedroom is a double and the other is small with bunk beds. The garden has an outside dining area with table and chairs.

We have had an excellent two week stay, very specious house, real elegant and comfortable and with all one could wish for, lovely porch, the house was very clean and a pool without any wasps! We loved the surrounding countryside also, Montone, Gubbio, Urbino, Assisi, Perugia. We can really recommend this.

indeed our holiday has ended and we have enjoyed it fully. Umbria is not unknown to us and once again it was a pleasure to be there.
Apartment Dietro is clean and tidy and we have no remarks … but maybe, knowing this is very subjective, we could say the beds are rather hard. However, this has in no way affected our holiday in a negative way.
Our compliments to the owners, we thanks them very much.

We had no wasps bothering us, the tennis field net was a bit broken but we managed to take care of that ourselves.
During our second week the owners were not there, maybe that is the reason it did not get mended.
Tip: for new people it would be handy to have a map with supermarkets indicated and also bakeries.
Tip for the house Torre Alto: some extra cutlery and glasses would have been welcome.
The dishwasher did not work or was dirty, so we did all by hand. However this is not a big deal.
Apart from this all was pleasant and we are thinking about returning next year with several families.

Message from the owners of Montone Rental: In 2011 the premises will be disinfected by the local health authorities at the beginning of the summer seaon, to avoid the large quantity of wasps during summer.

Hello ladies,
We had a great week in Montone. The apartment is nice, wonderfull garden and the owners (Filippo and parents) are friendly and helpful. Another plus is the free internet. In Montone there is a nice atmosphere and a few good restaurants. Quit some wasps around the pool, maybe something can be done about that.
We enjoyed the guided tour in the abbey but thought it a tad expensive.
We'll make sure to return to Montone some day.

We had a wonderful stay in Montone. The wheelchair didn't pose any problem and very convenient we were allowed to enter the house through the private garden. The apartment is spacious and comfortable; the other guests were very pleasant and we had wonderful weather.
A point lost is the fact that it was difficult to sit outside of our own apartment. The terrace on the front is beautiful, the view breathtaking but during the day it can be too warm which makes you want to sit near the pool. But one would like to sit alone now and then.
Apart from that nothing but praise we had a splendid time.
Thanks for your good service. The tour of the abbey was pretty and the stories the guide told made my ears perk up. A great summer and if we are to visit Umbria again we know where to find you!

We spend 2 terrific weeks in the Casa of Montone Rental. Superb weather, great surroundings and for us Casa was the best place to be with its mega balcony from where you could witness the most beautiful sunsets.

Here an impression of our stay at Montone Rental "CASA" in august 2009.
We had a good time and in general were very happy with the accomodation. Well kept, nice views, quiet location, exactly as you described it.
I do want to share some negative experiences, though:
- The owner was very friendly upon arrival but mainly focussed on getting paid the final sum. We couldn't even get a shower first.
- There was only one larger towel and one smaller towel per person. And that's it for one week. It seems to me that it is better to advise guests to take their own linnen with them, rather then having to cope with a shortage.
- The internet connection was extremely expensive.
- The tap in the bathroom is very noisy and needs replacement.

Our holiday in Montone was just lovely. The house was good, clean and with everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and friendly. She even spoke some english! The pool was clean. It was a pity there were many wasps around. For some people this may be a reason not to choose this house. Maybe we'll be back next year! Good luck with your work in Italy.
