Back to the description of La Pergola near Magione From 2009: Good that you ask. We indeed have some remarks. The apartment was good and clean. It just had a bit insufficient pots, pans, etc. We did miss some good places to sit outside with shade. The temperatures were very high during the day, so we really missed this. We had unexpected visitirs at the pool, not being guests of one of the other apartments. It made it a bit busy at some times. There were no bikes, which we regretted a lot. With regards, Simone
Hello Saskia & Willemijn, We had a lovely time in Umbria, good pool, large apartment, beautiful surroundings and a friendly owner. The only "but" is the equipment of the kitchen which we found very scarse. We improvised a lot and hink that a Senseo coffee maker would be advisable. Apart from that, we have been very satisfied. Best regards, Yvonne & Patrick
Hi Saskia, We returned from a lovely time in Italy. The apartment at La Pergola was all we wished for. We also liked the pool and the always helpful owner. An excellent place for trips in both Umbria and Tuscany. Thank you for organising it and we'll contact you again for a next holiday. With kind regards, Riemmy
Dear Saskia and Willemijn, We had a wonderful holiday at La Pergola. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by its beauty, the views and the furnishment of the apartment. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The central location allows for a lot of trips in the area. The children very enjoyed the beautifully situated pool. The pool is clean, but has quite a bit of chloride. Both hair and bathing suits turned yellow/green. Apart from that it is undoubtfully a place we would like to return to. Kind regards, Kees and Carin
Hello Willemijn & Saskia, Our experiences are as follows: We were in the apartment Assisi in la Pergola. We didn't very much enjoy it. At only 2 metres from us, underneath the same roof, was the terrace from our neighbours. We found this lack of privacy very uncomfortable. From the inside the apartment was well furnished and stylish. The equipment of the kitchen was very scarse, though. There wasn't a watercooker, for instance, we had to use a normal pan. We didn't feel at home in the apartment, so went out every day. Two apartments further on there was a tble soccer game immediately next to the terrace of these guests. We read it amongst the comments on the website, so we asked un purpose whether this had been resolved. The answer was that the table soccer game had been removed, but this was not the case. We did not like this. With kind regards, Dien and Maurits Reaction Villa in Umbria: we indeed were informed by the owner that the soccer game would have been removed and regret he did not do this. We had no idea.
Hello Saskia and Willemijn, We enjoyed our holiday at La Pergola and were lucky to meet a few other families with children. They played a lot together and also us parents had some good vconversations now and then. We got a good introduction to the apartment, surprisingly, since the owner only speaks italian! Very positive were the fly screens in front of the windows. The pool is large and clean. The small lighted terraces in front of each apartment were quite special during the evenings. The bathroom wasn't particularly clean when we arrived (outside of the sink and toilet were still dirty) Another negative aspect was the large amount of visitors at the pool (family? Friends? People from the village?). We weren't really disturbed by them, but it would have been more pleasant if they wouldn't have been there. When making the booking, one doesn't think there will be other visitors to the pool then the guests of the apartments themselves. Best regards and maybe until next time, Annette
From before 2009: Hello Saskia and Willemijn, We have had a wonderful 2 weeks in both houses. Regards, Christa and Arie
Hello Willemijn, We tremendously enjoyed our holiday (La Pergola). The house was super, the location, the weather, etc etc. Realy a place to return to. We also liked the the information and itinerary you sent upfront. Once again thanks for taking care of us and for the way you provide your information. Kind regards, Marco en Lizette
Good morning, We had a wonderful time in Umbria. Super house, super views. Swimming pool etc. It was a topspot with a incredibly beautiful and tranquilizing view. The only drawback was that there was no custodian who could be asked questions. When we arrived there was no one to wellcome us. We had to find our own apartment and there were no towels but that problem was quickly solved. Another small drawback is the lack of a sandwich service of some kind. You have to go out every day to get your breakfast. These are small drawbacks because it was super!!!!! Kind regards, Hettie
Comment Villa in Umbria:
Dear mrs. Lindeboom, We have enjoyed the very nice situated (and tasty furnished) apartment at La Pergola for a week. One marginal note. The block of appartments isn't locally known as La Pergola. It doesn't ring a bell with anyone as we have found out. The name of the village and turn right after the Agritourism sign will do as itinerary I think. Thanks for taking care of our booking. Kind regards, Henry
Comment Villa in Umbria:
Hello Willemijn, Off course we would like to share our experiences. We had a lovely holiday. The house was super, based on the pictures we had thought it would be much smaller but it turned out to be bigger. Also the swimming pool and deckchairs were excellent. We only experienced one (large) drawback. There is a footbal table. The location of the table was very inconvenient. Not only for us but it also aggravated other people. Because children started playing with it very early (06:45) and it was close to our window we were woken up immediately. The bigger kids went on playing till late in the evening which sometimes caused a racket wich wasn't enjoyable. The people in the apartment with the stairs had their own terrace next to the game. They often couldn't hear each other when people were playing the game. I think moving the game more in the direction of the table tennis table or pool would be appreciated by many. But once more, besides that everything was fine! Regards, Gerdy
Hello, We enjoyed our stay in Umbria. The apartment, the garden, the pool all were well taken care of and pleasant. Nice that everyone has his own terrace yet their remains enough contact with the neighbours. Very nice is the oven to make pizza's and the possibility to have a BBQ. There also were enough deck chairs and parasols. The owner is friendly end helpful. We thought it a pity we didn't have a freezing compartment and the fridge is to small for 4 people. It is in a somewhat unstable position and there is danger of tipping over. The temperatures were very high and it doesn't cool down a lot at night. Airco would be nice to make the nights more comfortable. I assume it is there but doesn't functon? Another tip for the owner. As he sells olive oil and jams it would be a good idea to make this known upon arrival by letting people taste some. Kind regards, Koen en Carine
