The arches are suitable for everybody from 8 years and older. Arches have been used throughout the century in Umbria and are now living a revival, after having been abandoned for many years. Fun to do for children, women and men. The archery afternoons are on Wednesdays from 17.00 hrs to 19 or 19.30 hrs. The location is easy to reach, 20 minutes drive from Perugia, close to Valfabbrica (on the St Francis Trail). Private lesson of 2 hours is 20 euro. Lessons for up to 6 are 13 euro per person. After the lesson you can walk the trail and enjoy the scenery while practising your aim. The fishermen prefer to leave early in the morning, but you can agree on the time directly with them. From an agriturismo close to Umbertide one can go with an expert truffle hunter and his even more expert dog, to search for truffles in the area. The price is 50 euro, including the dinner (house wine included). Children up to 10 years have dinner for half price. Minimum number of participants is two. Truffle season is closed from mid April to mid June and then again in September. In the months between you can book the truffle hunting. Every Thursday (in season, from mid July to end of August) from 17.00 hrs to around 19.00 hrs. Dinner is at 20.00 hrs. Booking is needed (see Contact us).   Basic cooking course in agriturismo close to Umbertide, with dinner An excellent cook (she does not speak English, but is used to making herself understood just the same) of an agriturismo close to Umbertide will show the participants (minimum two people) how to make pasta the traditional way, how to prepare it and a few sauses. Depending on the day she will also show how to make gnocchi and a desert. The course is every Thursday and starts during truffle season (see above) around 15.00 hrs up to around 17.00 hrs. Dinner is at 20.00 hrs. In the time between, guests can sit by the pool, go for a nice walk, visit Montone or Umbertide or go truffle hunting. Outside truffle season the cooking course starts at 16.30 to around 18.30. Children are welcome to participate as well.
