Two bedroom apartment for rent in Umbria, with views over Lake Trasimeno. The holiday apartment has a very nice terrace and a swimming pool. It is close to Sant'Arcangelo. Sant'Arcangelo has a few bars and shops. Castiglione del Lago is less than 15 minutes drive and Panicale is about 10 minutes by car. This apartment is centrally located, ideal for a holiday to combine relaxing moments at the pool or enjoying the views over the ever changing lake trasimeno, with visit to both Umbria and Tuscany.
One enters the apartment in the living room with big dining table for
6 and large corner sofa. There is a normal TV. The kitchen is on the
right, with oven, big fridge/freezer combination, 4 pit gas cooker
and ample working space and a small breakfast table.
One of the two private terraces is on the lake side of the apartment,
with a very nice view over the Trasimeno Lake. There is an outside
table with chairs and a Mexican hammac. In front of the house another
private covered terrace has an outside table and chairs.
The swimming pool is on the left side of the house and also has a nice view over the Lake Trasimeno. There are sunbeds and parasols. The pool is 4 by 8.5 meters. The owners of the apartment use the pool as well. They are quiet and discrete and have two children (girls).

Hi Willemijn en Saskia, We have just come back from 2 weeks Appartemento Lago and we would like to add this to the guest feedback. “We liked the apartment a lot. It is clean, beautiful terraces, enough towels, lovely olive oil and freshly picked salad!
Previous comments mentioned the road that was not in a good state.
This has now been worked on and the road is really good to drive on. We have also seen the hoopoe (upupa in Italian) and the goldfinch, two birds. The fireflies have been performing for us as well.” With best wishes, Jan Willem en Janneke
From 2009: Dear Willemijn & Saskia, We have been very content with our small house, the Appartamento Lago and with the hospitality of our hosts. We got a lot of fresh vegetables from their garden and some olive oil. The directions weren't very clear. You may want tomention that guests do have to take the road up where it says "forbidden", 20 km. Do not take the turn to the left. Most easy is to call the owner. He comes down to pick you up. It is hard to drive up the roads, but the view, once you are there is worth it! The mattrass of the double bed felt like being on a trampoline. That could be better. If one of the partners turns around a bit to much, the other wakes up all the time. We very much enjoyed the lovely pool and the views. The house is also centrally located to visit both Umbria and Tuscany. Wim, Irene en Kim
Comments of Villa in Umbria: the owners are working on the road. The road is rebuilt and will be easily accessible for all cars after the winter of 2010.
Dear Saskia and Willemijn, Unfortunately our holiday is already over. The apartment is spacious and the owners, who live below are very friendly. He even speaks some English, which made the comunication somewhat easier. The pool was cleaned daily and the first week with temperatures around 34 °C we used it a lot! The second week there was quite some wind, but it did not rain, luckily. The last day we had problems with our navigator. The owner accompanied us to an electrical appliances store where they could help us. This was extremely kind if him. In short: we are very content about the house and its owners. Hello Saskia and Willemijn, We had a lovely holiday in Appartamento Lago. A beautiful and clean house, friendly owners. The only but was the way up, very steep and in bad condition. This could be a reason not to choose the house for a next holiday, which is a pity, the house is an excellent place to stay. Regards, Marcel & Ellen
Dear Saskia and Willemijn, We had a lovely holiday in the Appartamento Lago and with pleasure share our experiences with you: Positive: -Very hospitable hosts and very discrete. -We enjoyed receiving fresh tomatoes, courgettes and aubergines every day. -The rooms are more spacious then they seem on the pictures and the apartment was very clean. -The terrace with views over the lake is very romantic! Fantastic views when the sun sets. That same terrace has a good hammock. -Ideal basis for trips in Umbria and Tuscany. Orvieto, further south, was one of the highlights of our stay! -Our children (6 and 2.5) enjoyed the lake because the water is shallow and warm (it is dirty, though, with plants etc. Watch out they do not drink it!) -Our dog was welcome. Negative: -The last 800 metre up was in bad condirtion and very steep. We are lucky to have a 4 x 4 since it rained a lot one day. It deteriorated the condirion od the road and we had difficulty driving up and down. This is also the reason we hardly ever used our bikes. -The kitchen has a lot of pats and pans, but not enough cutlery (for instance we missed a patato pealer and a good kitchen knife. We also missed a floor cloth to clean the kitchen and the bathroom now and then. -The directions are correct up to the camping at Sant'Arcangelo. It is better to call the owner from here, so that he comes along to pick up his guests. We warmly recommend this house, despite of the negative comments! Regards, Marc, Brigitte, Elin and Robin Reaction Villa in Umbria: next year the owner will pick up all guests from the parking at the camping down the road. That way guests will be able to choose the best way up. Choosing the correct road, still means a very steep non asfalted hill, but we came up with a small fiat 500, not 4x4 and on gas.
