Montecastelli Alto is a vacation home set in nature, on top of a hill and close to an old castle (no longer in use). The house is old, but nicely restored with a wonderful garden around it.
The name 'Montecastelli Alto' means litterally "the mountain with the castle high up", but the name derives from the town in the valley below that is called Montecastelli.
Montecastelli Alto has been turned into two apartments with each one bedroom, but can be used very well for a family as well.
The rooms are large and comfortable. Each floor has central heating for the colder months and also either a fireplace or a wood burning stove.
The top floor is about 60 square meters while the bottom floor has about 80 square meters. The pool is 4 by 8 meters.
One of the outside sitting areas is covered by a vine and another sitting area with table and chairs has been made under a high tree providing shade. From here you have a good view over the valley.
The price for per week for the whole Montecastelli Alto house is Euro 1,500 in the months of July and August. In June and September the price is Euro 1,200 per week. The price per week for the whole house the rest of the year is Euro 1,000.
Prices include final cleaning, clean linen and indoor towels (towels for use by the pool are not provided). The costs of heating in winter are not included.

The owners ask a 30% downpayment of the rental upon booking. The rest
can be paid upon arrival, together with a 300 euro security deposit.
