This vacation home in Umbria has a nice driveway through the garden sloping down hill. On top, close to the main road, remote controlled gates are fitted for extra privacy. One parks the car close to the house where the drive way ends.
The front door opens into the living room with big fire place and leather sofa's for 6 (or more). The living room is in one open space with the dining room in an L shape. The dining table can fit 8 people, when enlarged. The dining room has a door to the pool area. Next to the dining room one finds the well equipped kitchen with on the end the veranda (a patio attached to the house that can be closed with glass doors). The veranda has a table and chairs for 6 and a small wood burning stove. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, 4 pit gas hob, big fridge with freezer and a microwave. In the corner one finds a small breakfast table.
On the left of the entrance the stairs (with a guest toilet below it) take you up to the first floor with the three bedrooms and two bathrooms (one with bath and shower and the other with shower). One bedroom is a twin that can be made as a double as well. The other two bedrooms and doubles. There is space for one extra bed in the area next to the stairs.
The master bedroom has a door to the outside stairs. These stairs go down to the pool area.
The pool is 4 by 8 meters wide and between 1.10 and 1.70 m deep and has roman steps to one side. The pool area is right in front of the house and has flowers, pots, recliners and an outside dining table with wrought iron chairs.
The garden is well kept, with a green lawn (a good irrigation system keeps it green throughout summer) and some nice trees, flowers and wonderful views all around.

Prices are all inclusive (apart from the cleaning). Bed linen and towels are provided, also pool towels. Not included is the gas for central heating. This has to be paid separately based on consumption.
Animals are not allowed in the house or on the premises.
Rental period is always from Saturday to Saturday.

Dear ladies,
our holiday was once again fantastic, the holiday rental Casa del papa as well.
Only small remark is that the gate was not working with the remote control and the owner said it would be repaired, but this did not happen during our stay. Apart from this, all the rest was SUPER!

Loved our stay at Casa del Papa! Charming home, fabulous view; this Villa over looks surrounding Hill Towns of Umbria. Despite poor weather, it was truly a highlight of our 4 week tour of Italy! Saskia and Willemijn were extremely helpful.

We are extremely enthusiast about our stay in "Casa del Papa" near Todi where we stayed for a week. It was super! Splendid views, lovely house, complete privacy. The house is very complete with an oven, dishwasher, washing machine, water cooker, coffee machine and the list goes on. Also lots of glasses an plates. Great!
We have been going to Tuscany and Umbria but this was the best residence we have ever stayed in. In fairness I do have to mention it was our most expensive one till date.
The owner is extremely friendly. Pity he only speaks Italian but it does not really pose a problem.
Thank you and who knows till next year. We give this house a 10 out of 10!

How we liked our stay in Casa del Papa or 'casa bella vista' as we called it? Terrific! Every morning we woke up with an incredible view over the Umbrian hills. Ivo is a very good-natured host and thereby very discreet. Twice a week pool cleaning and after a week clean linen. We did not expect that.
The house is tidy and has all modern amenities. We didn't care for any hustle and bustle and loved how we could go to the nearby villages to get some groceries or gelati. We also found enough possibilities to satisfy our gastronomic desires. Cultural excursions are easy to arrange and even Firenze and Rome are within reach. We brought our 10 months old daughter and even she had all she could wish for, high chair, babybed with linnen and lots of space to try out walking.
We used your documentation to plan our stop while travelling to and from Umbria. All in all we have been very satisfied with our stay. This was our second visit to Umbria and we are sold.
