Holiday villa 'Casa Svedesi' (meaning house of the Swedish, because the owners are from Sweden) has a nice garden with bocce court, a small sitting area under a pergola of grapes, a nice herb border and of course the splendid swimming pool (5 by 12 meters and 1.55 meter deep). The pool has a cover guests can remove and pull over it (for protection and also keeping the water warm). Next to the swimming pool one can sit in the shade of a pergola made in wood. There are sun beds. Views are extraordinary. Hills all around with olive groves, Sagrantino vines and on one side the old wall of the town of Saragano.
The ground floor of the villa for rent:
One enters the villa at the side in a huge living room with two dining areas and a comfortable sitting area. Next is the well appointed kitchen (fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, espresso machine and a lot of working space) with a breakfast table. A door to the terrace with wooden chairs and table makes alfresco dining an extra joy.
Furthermore there is one service toilet (no shower), a full bathroom with bath and shower and 3 double bedrooms. There is also an extra bedroom where four children could sleep.
The first floor of the villa:
There is one double bedroom with terrace and nice views. There is another twin bedroom and two bathrooms (one with shower and one with a bath). There is a third small bedroom with bunkbeds. This floor has also a living room (with television) and a small kitchen corner.
The villa has a big garage below where the freezer and washing machine can be found.
The villa is situated at the edge of Saragano, an very small antique village in the centre of Umbria. Saragano has a good restaurant and a bar. There is also a play ground for children. Shops are in Collesecco and San Terenziano, both on 4 km drive.
Distances to a few famous towns in Umbria are:
Perugia 40 km,
Todi 20 km,
Foligno 30 km,
Spoleto 30 km,
Assisi 45 km
The road to the holiday villa is all tarred, up to the last 20 meters. The villa has an automatic gate and ample parking inside.

The whole house sleeps 10 plus 2 to 3 children very comfortably.
Prices are not inclusive of the electricity consumption and heating in the colder months. Bed linen and towels are provided (no pool towels).
Rental period is always from Saturday to Saturday.

The week was fantastic and passed far too fast. The house is wonderful. Lots of privacy and yet not too isolated.
The caretaker was friendly and the reception was hospitable.
We don't know what more can be done to improve this house.

Overall we are very content having stayed at Casa Svedesi.
Preperations and booking were very swift as was the reception by the caretaker of the house.
The caretaker was always available and the small problems we encountered during our stay (for instance not enough towels in bathroom and kitchen) were quickly solved.
It is hard to fault the villa itself, it is very spacious and offers all the comfort one could wish for. There was a problem with a blocked water discharge in a shower and some smell in another bathroom (maybe another blockage?). The gas BBQ outside was very welcome. Pity we had to buy another gas tank to be able to use it.
As you can see a few minor issues but overall we have been very happy with our stay.

The surroundings are beautiful with many sights to see. Lucia's hospitality and help was good.

Beautiful location and the house has enything one could need. An ideal place for people who look for quietness but also want to do some sightseeing.

We stayed at the Casa Svedesi with two other families and had a very good time in Saragano!
We thought the house looks much better then it seems on th epictures. It is very spacious, well kept and has all the comfort one needs. Apart from the small kitchen upstairs and the large kitchen downstairs there also is a large freezer in the basement, a washing machine, iron and iron board and even a fittness-chair and some toys for children.
The view from the house and the pool is breathtaking. It is also easy to get round from here. We went to: Assisi, Spello, Orvieto, the Marmore cascades in Terni, Bevagna, Trevi, Fabro, even Rome can be done in a day (almost 2 hours drive). In San Terenziano, at only 4 kms there really is the best Gelateria of Umbria! Don't miss it!

The owners ask for a 30% booking deposit, via bank transfer.
The rest should be paid one month prior to arrival.
The security deposit is 400 euro.
