One enters the house through the front door, entering the hall with stairs to the first floor. On the right one will find the living room with fireplace, sofa and two comfortable chairs, TV with satellite and dvd player and the kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
On the left there is a double bedroom with bathroom.
The first floor has two further bedrooms (both doubles) each with own bathroom (one with shower and the other with a bath). There are two extra single beds available and also a cot.
There is a washing machine and iron with ironing board. For children there is a small children play area outside.
The holiday rental is around 130 m2 in total, plus the covered terraces. It has recently been fully restored. The villa used to be an old farmhouse. On the property (with fence and gate) the owners have planted many olive trees and the garden furthermore has a few old trees, herbs and roses.
The pool is 4.5 by 9 meters and 1.30 meters deep. You can enter the pool only at one side, from the terrace. The other side is covered with green bushes.
There is ample parking at the villa. The nearest bigger town is Marsciano, with shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants, post office and banks. The road the the holiday rental is totally paved up to the last 500 meters which is gravel in excellent condition.
The owner has a wifi usb internet stick that guests can use. Guests pay for topping it up. In 2012 a wifi internet connection will be available.

Availability of Casale Marsciano:
From 2011: Dear Willemijn and Saskia,
we do not have to say a lot about it, in one word it was wonderful. The house, its position and especially the garden and pool.
However, one small issue that we did miss (now don't laugh) was a bread cutting board.
We can recommend Casale Marsciano to everybody for holiday in Umbria.
Best wishes and good luck with your activities, Wim/Els/Barend/Bea.
Hello ladies,
it was wonderful, in one word!!!
We love Italy and have been to many places already. We have a rule not to visit the same area again, but we will make an exception for this house and will revisit.
The owner Marco is also very friendly, so even more so very good!!
Best wishes, Niny and family
From 2010:
We are already back from our Holiday.
Casale Marsciano is really excellent.
We spend very nice week there. it is very nice place to have a rest and also very good base to start excursions to different places in Umbria and Tuscany.
The owner Marco is very nice guy, we had good relations with him.
Thanks for your help.
Regards, M. and M.
Willemijn, Saskia,
we returned yesterday from Italy. All went very well.
Please give our regards and compliments to Marco, Angela and Marco's father.
Everything was really well; good location, excellent house, very precise maintenance and a friendly owner and family. Definitely a place to revisit.
Thanks to your intermediation. We will certainly return to you a next time.
With best wishes, Herman
Dear Saskia and Willemijn,
First and above all we would like to let you know we spend three delightful weeks in Umbria, we savoured casale marsciano, the beautiful garden, lovely surroundings and the refreshing pool.
Two small points:
In the neighbourhood of the house there are some dogs which at night can make some noise, this might be a problem if you want to sleep with your windows open. Sleeping with windows closed is no problem.
When we arrived in casale marsciano we became a bit disappointed about san martino where we stayed last year, the price is more or less the same but we think the comfort, amenities and surroundings of casale marsciano are superior. The view from San Martino however is superb but it doesn't provide a match due to the lesser comfort. Maybe something to think about in the future?
Kind regards, S.V.
Comment Villa in Umbria:
As stated San Martino has a superb view and the house and pool are bigger. One might find casale marsciano more comfortable but the pool is a lot smaller. Also San Martino is in a totally different part of Umbria, closer to Cortona/Tuscany.
In the end it is a trade of and it is the client who decides what he or she prefers, we feel both houses offer very good value. Please also read the comments on San Martino.

Feedback from 2009:
Dear Willemijn and Saskia,
Looking back at our holiday pictures, I remembered to write you a small note.
We have been extremely pleased with our holiday in Umbria, staying in Il Borgo and Casale Marsciano.
Casale Marsciano is a very luxurious villa, brand new, and equipped with all the necessary. Even the smallest detail was taken care of : a bottle of champagne, wine, marmelade and cookies. The beds are comfortable and there are screens in front of all windows. The surroundings are different since the house is situated in a valley and is surrounded by land overgrown with sunflowers. It is extremely quiet, except for some hours in the weekend, when the local motor cross club is active.
We thought the pool a bit small for 7/8 guests. Casale Marsciano is centrally located to visit many sites in Umbria.
We had a very good holiday here, away from all the daily buzz. We warmly recommend the house and will surely be back!
Thank you, Karen
Dear Saskia and Willemijn,
A bit late but still a short impression of our stay at Casale Marsciano.
The house is more then comfortable. It has everything one needs to ensure a pleasant stay. It was clean, neat and furnitured with taste. The bathrooms are well done en luxurious. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and a good supply of towels and bedlinnen.
The garden is an oasis of peace and quiet where we even spotted the milky way during the night! Where can this still happen nowadays!?
The pool was pleasant to refresh ourselves on the warm august days.
The location is strategic to visit many sites in the area. Driving distances to many of the well known sites in Umbria are acceptable.
Whenever we had questions or -once- a technical problem with the pool, the owner immediately came by to help us out.
Hopefully our comments will be of help to you.
Regards, Lex
