The private holiday home Villa La Chiusa, situated at the outskirts of the small village Tuoro sul Trasimeno, is an ideal place for those who love nature, peace and quietness, but at the same time do not want to be too far away from a town. This beautiful holiday home is set in the forest at only 1 km from the centre of Tuoro sul Trasimeno, where you will find some shops, restaurants, a post office and a bank. At only 2 km is the beach of Tuoro where you can sunbath, swim, rent bikes and take the ferry to one of the islands at Lake Trasimeno "Isola Maggiore".
Holiday home Villa La Chiusa has three double rooms, each with its own bathroom with shower. In two of the rooms there is an extra single bed. Every bedroom has its own entrance to the garden. There are screens everywhere. On the ground floor is an extra large living room with a well equiped kitchen: large fridge with freezer, gas cooking plate, oven and a dishwasher. There is TV. From the kitchen / living room, you enter the oversized terrace with iron furniture and splendid views over the surrounding forest, the village of Tuoro and the Lake Trasimeno in the background. Deckchairs are available.
The garden of Villa Tuoro has a small romantic house, which can host two people. It has a bathroom, though not as luxurous as the bathrooms in the house. (The shower isn't very comfortable).
Walks in this area are unlimited (there is a well known walk nr. 2 from Tuoro to Passignano, passing by the house). By car Perugia is only 25 minutes away, Assisi and Siena are at only 40 minutes. Rome can be reached within two hours, Florence in an hour.
Prices for maximum 6+2 people:
High season July and August (3/7 - 28/8): EUR 1300 per week
The garden house - 2 extra people : EUR 250 per week.
How to book: you can send us an email (see contact Villa in Umbria for details) indicating the period you would like to visit Umbria, your address and telephone number and the number of people in your group. We will double check the availability with the owner and then confirm your booking. The booking deposit is 30% of the rental price (payable via bank transfer) and the balance can be paid a month before arrival. The security deposit is 300 euro.

Back to the description of the villa in Tuoro From 2009: Our stay with Georgio and Agusta was nothing short of fantastic. The house was much better than depicted on the web site and our hosts were very friendly and hospitable. We loved making bread with them, as well as ravioli and lasagna, and picking fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden was a real treat. The figs were a highlight as were the fresh eggs each day courtesy of the chickens. Our children had a great time playing in the sprinklers on a hot summers day. Our only regret was that we only stayed for 10 weeks, and we all cried a little when we finally left to come back to Australia. We still write to our hosts and hope to come back and visit again when we are able. Villa in Umbria was so pleasant to deal with. Everything was as they said it would be and during our stay they were very helpful whenever we reached out to them. We would definitely recommend them. Ciao, Byron
From before 2009: Hello, Thank you for inviting our feedback concerning our stay at La Chuisa.Our owners,Giorgio and Agusta,were lovely,friendly people who totally accommodated us and went out of their way to do so.Giorgio found a fresh turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner and prepared his wood burning brick oven for us to cook it in!The herb and vegetable gardens were a wonderful treat as was picking figs from the tree outside our door.The terrace was a great spot to relax in the afternoon and enjoy the superb view of Lake Trasimeno.The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and glassware but the cutlery was old.The dishwasher was unreliable and the coffeemaker extremely slow.The terrace needs an awning or umbrella for people who don't wish to be in the sun and there should also be a simple barbeque.As far as cleanliness,ths home was good but the bath towels need to be replaced.The home has a lot of technical enhancements that are not easily understood so a few well written info sheets would help .Also the owners have a lot of their personal things in this rental and these should be removed.We would recommend this property as we did enjoy our stay there and we hope that these comments are constructive.
