Take the Italian Autostrada A1: Milan – Modena – Bologna – Firenze – in the direction of Rome. If you come from Rome, take the A1 in the direction of Firenze – Bologna. Exit this highway at the Valdichiana exit (about 90 KM after Florence coming from the North, or about 150 KM after Rome coming from the south). Having paid the toll you keep to the right and follow directions for Perugia, towards the SS75 or “Raccordo Perugia – A1 Bettole”. After a few 100 metres you will enter the SS75. This is the provincial highway (no toll), connecting Siena and Perugia. Follow this highway in the direction of Perugia. After 2.5 kms, take the exit Foiano della Chiana. Follow signs for Cortona and get on to the Sp31. You can already see Cortona in the distance against the hill on your left hand side. You will pass an old Abbey at Farneta. It’s on your left hand side. After the Abbey it is another 6 km, always following the same road, before you get to Monsigliolo. Entering Monsigliolo you will see on the right hand side the Bar Valeri. From here it is another 500 metres before you get to a crossing where you sharply turn left. 50 metres furtheron is La Corte Etrusca on the left.

COOP supermarket at 2 kms in Camucia (direction Arezzo). A cheaper supermarket is the Penny Market with a good selection of products. It is also in Camucia at the other side of town, along the Sr71, in the direction of Perugia/Terontola/Lake Trasimeno.
In the centre of Camucia there is a pharmacy, a bakery, butcher, cloths shops, several bars, postoffice, banks etc. Every Thursday morning there is a large market in the centre of Camucia (fresh food, cloths etc.).
In Arezzo, every first weekend of the month there is a rather large antique market. The Sr71 leads from Camucia directly to Arezzo. You’ll find the signs easily.
Near the exit of the A1 is the Outlet Village Valdichiana. Driving towards the A1 along the “Raccordo Perugia – Bettole” or SS75, you will see the signs. Exit, as if you want to go to Rome and Florence and go the right at the bottom of the exit, rather then to the left for the highway. This Outlet Village has a good choice of clothes at good prices.
In Camucia is a railwaystation with direct connection to Arezzo, Florence and Rome. You can also get a bus for Cortona, Arezzo or Castiglion Fiorentino.
The nearest restaurant is at 3 km along the Sr 71 in the direction of Arezzo: Ristorante Cantanapoli. For who likes seafish it is particularly recommended. In Camucia is the pizzeria Il Ghiottone where you should not only try the pizza, but also the “bistecca alla brace” – Grilled beaf.
In Cortona there are many restaurants of good standard. To name just a few: Osteria del Teatro, Ristorante Tonino, Pane e Vino, La Grotta.
