The Antica Villa in Cortona is an excellent choice for a holiday immersed in the past with your family or a group of friends. This antique villa with pool dates back to the year 1640! You can just feel the history around you both in the house as well as in its surroundings.

Cortona is at a short distance and is a lively little town dating back to Etruscan times. Its MAEC museum has an impressive collection of age-old artefacts. There are many bars, restaurants and quaint shops.

The Antica Villa is in a small hamlet at 10 minutes driving from Cortona. You’ll have the local grocery at walking distance, as well as a bar and a pizzeria. Larger supermarkets are at 10 minutes driving in Camucia.

The villa has a separate apartment on the ground floor that is rented only together with the main house. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with shower. There is an extra sofa bed here making it suitable for 3 guests (2 adults and one child, or three older children together).

Next door is the reception area. From here an internal staircase goes up to the first floor with on the left a studio with antique sofa’s and a double bedroom connected to it. On top of the staircase is the modern bathroom with shower. To the other side of the staircase is the kitchen, also fully equipped, and separately is the dining room. The kitchen and the dining room are interconnected by a small window to pass the food.

Going further up the stairs to the second floor there is an antique library on the left and a double bedroom. Also here the modern bathroom with shower is on top of the stairs. A corridor leads to three more double bedrooms. The bedrooms on this floor have air conditioning. One of these bedrooms has a small double bed (1.40m.) for one adult or two children.

Except for the bathrooms all areas of the house have antique family furniture. One really feels as if time has come to a stand still. The owners carefully renovated their family home with respect for their long family heritage.

In front of the house is the inner court and yard where guest can sit and eat outside. The kitchen of the ground floor apartments comes in handy to prepare dinners for long summer evenings. There also is a barbecue in a corner of the garden and the owners keep a vegetable garden.

The other end of the house is inhabited by the family members. They fully respect their guests privacy, but are also around for advice and with pleasure share some local delicacies with their guests. They produce olive oil from the olive trees on the grounds around the villa. They also keep quite a number of turtles and a friendly dog to the delight of the children visiting.

Behind the house is the fenced pool area. The pool is 12 by 6 metres and 1.50 metres deep. From here there are great views over the surrounding landscape.
