Due to the uncertain situation in the world because of the Covid-19 disease, we had to be very flexible and will still be as flexible as possible in case you need to cancel.

If you book now for 2022, we expect you to make an initial payment to confirm your booking. You can cancel free of charge until two weeks before arrival, in case of Covid related travel restrictions.

Note that we always recommend you take a cancellation policy. Currently, insurance companies do not cover cancellations when caused by government restrictions and travel bans. In that case, we will refund as long as you cancel two or more weeks in advance. Alternatively, we can reschedule your booking.

Several insurances now offer a cancellation policy that also includes the situation in which you fall ill with Covid-19 and have to cancel because of it. Ask your insurance company whether they also cover this illness.

For tourists travelling to Italy

These are the current rules for entry into Italy

The EU app is accepted, or also an app from your country of origin. The EU app is accepted in Italian, English, French, Spanish or German. If you are not digital, a printed version will also be accepted.

You can currently travel into Italy with your QR code if you:
1. have been fully vaccinated (twice) for at least 2 weeks, not more than 270 days ago (9 months).
2. or have been fully vaccinated, plus booster (at this moment without a time limit).
3. or can demonstrate that you have Covid 19 antibodies, no older than 180 days after your first negative test after you have recovered from Covid.
4. or you have a negative test with you: antigen test < 48 hours, or PCR test < 72 hours

If you do not have a negative test result with you, and/or do not have a vaccination certificate, you will have to isolate for 5 days and will have to have a negative test result by the end of these 5 days.

Children younger than 6 years old, do not have to have a negative test result with them.

From May 1, the strict rules because of Covid have been abandoned. You do not need to show your QR code anymore to enter a restaurant, museum etc. The FFP2 mouth mask is still an obligation when you travel by train, bus, plane or boat. Also in indoor places like cinemas, theatres, sports events and places like hospitals. In all other places, it is strongly recommended but not an obligation anymore.

The travel information on this page is subject to change. We try to keep this up to date as best as possible, but always check the website of the Italian government for the latest travel rules.
