Events and village feasts in Umbria
Visiting Umbria, one should try to take part in one or more of the typical Umbria events that take place every year around the same time in the same places.
The festivals and sagra's in small Umbrian towns are the place to go if you like to participate in or observe the real Italian village life. Usually there is excellent food, music, dancing and a lot of happy people enjoying an evening in the open air.

Apart from these big events, there are many local sagra's and festivals throughout the year, with food, music and town square dancing. These smaller events can be found by looking at the posters they hang everywhere in the immediate area or pamphlets left in the local bars. Absolutely worth visiting if you like a real Italian atmosphere, happy people and good food. The local tourist information will also have this information.
