We love sharing the places, experiences, and traditions that make Umbria such a special destination. In this guidebook, you’ll find practical information, answers to frequently asked questions, and a collection of our favourite tips for exploring the region.

From private chefs and wine tastings to authentic farm experiences, family activities, and beautiful places to visit, we hope this guidebook inspires you to discover the very best of Umbria and create wonderful holiday memories.

General information

Check-In

Check-In

Arrival is between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, unless otherwise agreed.

Two weeks before arrival, all guests will receive an email with the arrival instructions, containing the contact details of the owners or caretakers, the exact address and Google map location, as well as some suggestions for restaurants in the local area.

Furthermore, you will be asked for your identification information in a separate email. All homeowners are legally required to register all guests within 24 hours of their arrival. Please provide your identification information before arrival.

Towels and bed linen

Towels for indoor use are included, as are bed linens.

Some homes (not all!) also provide pool towels. Please inquire for more details.

Check-Out

Check out is always before 10 am. Please make sure to agree with the owner or caretaker on what time you will be leaving and where to leave the keys.

We expect all guests to leave the house in decent order. It is not necessary to clean the house, but please make sure to empty the refrigerator and throw away your waste in the appropriate bins.

Experience the joy of creating delicious dishes with the Cuoche Erranti Emma and Mara. Two ladies that have already cooked for our guests in many occasions. Today they offer cooking classes in your holiday home or you just sit back and they cook for you.

You can contact them directly. Please note that you will have to book in advance. Otherwise, they may already be fully booked. Emma and Mara mainly serve the area North of Perugia.

Alessandra Caprini is an Italian private chef, caterer, food designer and bread artist. She was born and raised in Umbria and to this day lives in Perugia. She speaks English well and is passionate about the Italian cuisine following the seasons and what the land has to offer. Together with her team she will create an unforgettable experience for you in your holiday home.

The Bottega d’Arte Experience takes place inside a traditional artisan workshop, where guests can observe some of the historic techniques once used to create frescoes, painted panels and decorative works. During the visit, participants will discover traditional Renaissance methods such as fresco preparation starting from lime, the making of gesso according to ancient processes, pictorial retouching and the delicate art of gold leaf gilding. The experience then continues with a workshop, allowing guests to take part in these artistic traditions in a practical and meaningful way.
