My Story

I’m Saskia van der Bolt, the face and driving passion behind Villa in Umbria. Born and raised in the Netherlands, my sense of adventure took me to Norwich during my studies at Maastricht University. I loved England so much that I ended up living in London for two more years.

In July 2000, I traded London’s bustling streets for the peaceful countryside of Umbria, near the stunning Lake Trasimeno. The charm and tranquillity of Umbria quickly stole my heart.

Now, more than twenty years later, I feel like a local and am thrilled to share my love for this region with others. With my knowledge of the area and its lifestyle, I’m here to help you find the perfect holiday home and create an unforgettable stay.
