Mud filled Liguria
We got some questions if Umbria is having the same problems as in Liguria. Fortunately we have escaped this disaster, we had some light rain but the last few days have been fantastic. Our thoughts go out to all those who are less fortunate!
Natural wine
Just back from two days hard work in Fornovo (close to Parma). Each year we go to wine events, specially the ones which feature small (natural) wine producers. We brought back quite some bottles, many for us and some for our friends. We are not all spoiled for choice...
Things to do while driving in Umbria….
In a hurry, cruisin the nice, but sometimes bumpy, highway in the driection of Perugia. Proper speed, podcast on, sun high in the sky and ... some nob in a noble big german car swerving from left to right and more to the right and left again while doing over 100km/h....

You can find them all over Umbria and it is a great addition to any meat stew, especially wildboar. Here in Umbria it is also used with eel from Lake Trasimeno roasted over an open fire. Sometimes some wood of the trees is added to a fire above which meats are roasted...

Drones?
Drones are all over the news these days and I thought they had arrived in Umbria too when the pilot of this extreme low flying aircraft waved at me. (well ... actually he didn't, but he could have!)

Yes I'm in picture mode again. I can't stress enough that this is a fantastic time of the year to be in Umbria. The light is just stupendous as is the weather. Some say this tower near my house will...
