Yesterday we had a lovely afternoon, tasting some of Umbria’s wines. Some nice, others not so … but taste is rather personal and difficult to judge!
There was a cheese stand as well which had excellent cheeses (Formos from Foligno).
A few pictures below:
- The tasting glasses with handy ‘sack’ to carry the glass around your neck.
- Nice wines (they had also brought the soil the vineyard grows on)
- Not all came to taste the wine … these two guys probably woke up with a headache this morning!
- Suddenly there was piano music and a tenor. Good voice! He was singing a ‘drinking song’.
- His voice was good, his memory not so … the soprano joined him, maybe that’s why!
- The cheeses … mouthwatering!
I would love to visit, the cheeses look delicious and with the wine sounds like a brillant combination. We are running a competion to explore the green heart of Italy on this 8-day journey through the towns of Umbria if any of your readers fancy entering all you need to do is email your name, email and contact address to unearthedcompetitions@bottlepr.co.uk.
