Fire!

It has cooled down a bit but is still is unusually warm for the time of the year. A few weeks ago on a very hot day the intense smell of smoke entered my nose. Ah great, BBQ and cold beer was the first thing that came to mind, but I quickly let that thought go, since only fools would be having BBQ’s in our uberdry neck of the woods. Outside we go and yes too much smoke for a BBQ and quite nearby. Now waterbombers had been passing over our house in the days before but I never noticed smoke this nearby. Luckily the wildfire was extinguished in due time. Since then we have had some rain so I think the biggest danger has passed for this year.
