Ristorante Pizzeria Archibugio in Lugnano, a small hamlet not far from Città di Castello, has always been a farm run by Dante and Luciana. They began a restaurant quite some years ago now, and I had the pleasure to eat here with my family.

The agriturismo

The agriturismo is located in a quiet area with beautiful views. Luciana is a lovely hostess, she is a jack of all trades. Whatever needs to be done, she doesn’t turn a blind eye to it. The garden is well maintained by Dante who is a gardener, pizza maker, and host. Hospitality, good service, everything is arranged down to the last detail. Luciana and Dante attach great importance to this.

The restaurant

Ristorante Pizzeria Archibugio in Lugnano offers a wide choice of pizzas, pasta, antipasti, and local meat dishes. My table on the terrace was nicely set and from here I had a very nice view of the landscape and the small village of Lugnano. Dante’s mother is a cook and together with a colleague they prepare the most delicious dishes. They also make their own pasta, such as ravioli and fettuccine. Upon request, it is possible to organize a cooking course. Nice! Luciana’s sister also works in the restaurant and does her job with great pleasure. She has always worked as a secretary but quit her job to work in the family restaurant. “Here lies my heart,” she said. She lives in Città di Castello, 20 km from the agriturismo. Driving back and forth is no problem. And she knows so much about wines!

The agriturismo is a quiet location with nice people. If you are in the area, this is definitely a must.
