Waterfalls in Umbria

When we came down from the Eremo we carried on to do a little more hiking. The initial steep path covered with loose gravel under a baking sun made us doubt our decision for a moment but when we saw these waterfalls…..ah but no!

We were told these waterfalls are in ‘operation’ 365 days a year so if you are going hiking near Pale in the warm months make sure to visit them.

Did you know that Pale used to be a famous production centre for paper? The production was literally driven by the upstream part of these waterfalls.
